New Digital Student materials now online

New materials online!

At last we can announce the launch of our new, revised materials to support everyone working to enhance the student digital experience. There is a whole new area of the web site devoted to examples of good practice, of which there are more than fifty, generously shared by universities (and some colleges) across the UK. Thank you to everyone involved. It is truly impressive to see how much valuable work goes on to engage, empower, involve, support and develop learners.

The examples are organised according to the seven challenges we identified for institutions. Each challenge now has its own page with key ideas and findings, and with links to resources and exemplars.

There are also new versions of our ‘Digital learners are different’ posters, revised after consultation to be more useful for starting conversations across both HE and FE sectors. The text reflects the diversity of experiences and attitudes students bring to their use of digital technology in learning. The ‘Enhancing the digital learning experience’ postcards have had a make-over too. All of these materials can be accessed for download and reuse from the outcomes page.

Finally – as if that wasn’t enough – today sees the launch at DigiFest of a brand-new Jisc Guide, Enhancing the student digital experience: a strategic approach. You’ll find this to be a handy summary of the work on this site including snapshots of many of the exemplars. Enjoy!
