August digital experience insights blog

We hope that you are all well and hopefully looking forward to a summer break if you haven’t been able to take one yet😊 We appreciate it has been a very challenging time for us all in many different ways, but we believe we have all benefited from collaborating and openly sharing best practice.

Sept 2020 student induction support

As you get ready to welcoming your students into the next academic year, if you have a chance please consider how this Toolkit might help you support the digital experience of new students. Use these customisable toolkits to help you review, develop and communicate information that is key to the successful induction and onboarding of new students. The toolkits draw on the findings of our 2018-19 digital experience insights student survey (published March 2020)   https://digitalinsights.jisc.ac.uk/reports-and-briefings/our-briefings-and-toolkits/

Next community of practice event
Following our successful May online community of practice which we held jointly with the building digital capability team, we are delighted to announce the date for our next event which is taking place online on the 17th November. We run these events in collaboration with a university or college to ensure we bring in new ideas, and are looking for volunteer to work with us on our next event. In practice this would involve a small number of joint virtual planning meetings, and also a keynote presentation from a senior lead at your institution on an aspect of your journey to digital transformation. If you would like to offer your organisation please get in touch with me at ruth.drysdale@jisc.ac.uk.

New case study now available
We are pleased to announce the launch of our latest case study from the University of Northampton. This case study, entitled ‘Building the digital landscape’, with Rob Howe head of learning technology, discussing how the insights surveys feed into, and contribute to, a range of connected initiatives that form a wider holistic approach to strategic and operational planning.
